What is 1Fe-LSD:
1Fe-LSD is a synthetic lysergamide from the group of 1-substituted lysergamides. It is based on the classical ergoline/lysergamide backbone and has a targeted substitution at the 1-position (N-1) of the indole nitrogen.
The substituent consists of a ferrocene carbonyl group. This allows the central lysergamide core to be preserved while the chemical structure differs significantly from simple alkyl, alkoxycarbonyl, or benzoyl derivatives.
Our recommendation: In direct comparison with 1BP-LSD, 1Fe-LSD is currently our clearer recommendation. Feedback is more consistent, making 1Fe-LSD the more reliable choice for anyone deciding between the two derivatives.
Why it is not prohibited:
According to the current wording of the 6th amendment of the NpSG, 1Fe-LSD is not covered by the substance group of Δ⁹,¹⁰-ergolines. While numerous 1-substituted lysergamides are regulated there, the permitted substituents are defined conclusively.
The substituent of 1Fe-LSD contains ferrocene (an organometallic complex with iron), a structural element not listed in the relevant NpSG definition. For this reason, the substitution is formally outside the standardized element framework, despite bonding at the 1-position.
1-substituted lysergamides
Lysergamide derivatives are structurally characterized by substitutions typically made at the 1-position of the indole nitrogen (N-1). This position has historically and structurally established itself as a preferred modification point within lysergamide chemistry. Newer derivatives also follow this principle, preserving the central ergoline/lysergamide core while chemical differentiation takes place through the respective substituent at the 1-position. As a result, 1-substituted lysergamides are particularly suitable for structural chemical comparative studies within this substance class.

1Fe-LSD should be stored cool, dry, and protected from light. Airtight storage as well as avoiding heat, moisture, and direct sunlight are recommended; ideal temperatures are below 20 °C.
